Questions about DNS zone on Hostgator / Cpanel / WHM or similar shared hosting » I’ve been with Hostgator for years under a reseller account. It works, but support is worthless. Although fortunately I don’t need it often. I was in a chat about this with them and they had no clue. The back end is a linux server running cpanel / WHM, if that matters. On my domain, I have an index.cgi file that lets me type ___.mydomain.com and it gets me to a URL. I use that as a way to have loads of shortcut to get to lots of pages. speed.mydomain.com goes to a web speed test page acrobat… Community.spiceworks.com
